vintage rose nails

Hello! Here is my first attempt of creating vintage flower design and I am rather chuffed with myself :)
I kept looking at other designs thinking that it is tricky to do, and actually not as much as it seems - then again I guess my first attempt is well.. first attempt and there is lots of room for improvement ;)
For a tutorial you are best looking up on youtube, but have a look at the one I looked :) I think hers nails are just fab! x

nail foils dummy style

I've done it! yay! I have managed to do nail foils - it seems to be different than nail wraps - basically you cut the foil to size you need out of a roll.
It says on the packet - spread the adhesive on clean nail - when they mean clean, they mean clean. I could not smuggle even a drop of base coat :/ which is a bit of a shame since I am addicted to my base coat (OPI Nail Envy ♥)
Anyhow - once you spread adhesive (I got my nail foils from ebay and they came with adhesive) wait until it is almost dry and then stuck the foil with pattern up. I've additionally have added some pearls, glitter polish and on top quick drying top coat (this time round I've used Sally Hansen Insta-dry which worked very well)
Here it is! Behold! :D haha

P.s. sorry for very non professional pic, done at work! what can I say? I'm a busy person lol

Have you seen spring? Check out my nails :)

I've got spring!
By using 3 colours and a makeup sponge create a gradient. Not as messy as you might think.
1) I've painted my whole nail light green - I've used China Glaze - Def Defying
2) Once dry (ish) take a makeup sponge and second colour of choice (I used China Glaze Flyin High) and blob it on the sponge and gently sponge from the tip of your nail upwards - so the tip is opaque and colour thins out as you go to the middle
3) Again - once dry ish I used 3rd colour - Rimmel 198 Azure - and used sponge again but this time on the tip of the nail alone.
4) Next - I've applied glitter polish all over (just an ordinary cheap polish for £1)
5) Made a flower with white polish, stick a rihnstone in the middle of the flower
6) Apply quick drying top coat (My fav Essie "Good to go") and voi la! :)

Spring has arrived!

Hello and welcome!

Hi
Whoever has wondered in here - welcome.
My name is Katie and I have a hobby/therapy - nail art. Nail doodling.
I'm finding it pleasurable, relaxing and focusing at the same time. I'm no professional. Just happens that I have a case full of colours, rihnstones, pearls and doodaahs you can stick on your nails.
I'm often looking for inspirations and ideas but I also like sharing my own achievements :) So if you do like something in here - great - use it, explore it - enjoy it.
To start off the thing here are some of my first attempts on creating "Nail art" - when I first started off I couldn't even pain my nail straight... to be honest it hasn't improved ;) but hay I have fun with it..
